What you should know about East Rand Scuba

Scuba Diving in Brakpan, Trusts in Brakpan, Lead in Brakpan, Recreation in Brakpan

Not only do we trust them to lead us on pleasureable recrational dives, but we also trust them to keep an eye out for our loved ones on excursions.
East Rand SCUBA was founded back in 2005 by Bryan Coetzee who had a passion for diving and wanted to provide the industry with a more family based approach to diving.

Jan claims that he doesn't have winter fat anymore, they've 'evolved' into what he calls 'Spring Rolls'. We are sure that many of you might feel the same way.and there's just hardly any time, or motivation, to make a difference. We know we should be fit for diving, but how to get there is a different case altogether. Jan and Christene are therefore herewith giving an open invitation to ANYONE who wants to join the fitness challenge. Bring along: A bottle of drinking water, please wear comfortable clothes and tekkies, and remember to bring an exercise mat or large towel. We remind you that we offer Department of Labour recognized First Aid Courses. Courses can be done during the week, or over weekends, or even done part-time during evenings. Remember, first aid is not only aimed at Scuba divers, swimmers and swim instructors. Child minders, parents and anyone else who is interested, over the age of 16 years, can attend a first aid course. Divers Alert Network (DAN) is a Section 21 not-for-profit medical and research organization dedicated to the safety and health of recreational scuba divers and associated with IDAN (International DAN). Founded in 1980, DAN has served as a lifeline for the scuba industry by operating the only 24-hour diving emergency hotline, a lifesaving service for injured divers. Additionally, DAN operates a diving medical information hotline, conducts vital diving medical research, and develops and provides a number of first-aid and continuing education programs for everyone from beginning divers to medical professionals. DAN is supported by the largest association of recreational divers in the world through membership dues and donations. In return, members receive a number of important benefits including emergency medical evacuation assistance, DAN educational publications, a subscription to Alert Diver magazine, and access to diving's first and foremost diving accident insurance coverage. From its humble beginning, with less than 1000 members, DAN-SA now has nearly 9000 members; its own offices; seven Board members; two company directors, a medical director and a team of six part-time hotline diving medical practitioners supporting the DAN hotline, and four full time staff members.
